Your privacy is very important to us. We respect your concerns about maintaining strict privacy. Any personally identifying information that you divulge to us is always kept in confidence.
Information provided to the Applied Computer Security Associates (ACSA), whether doing business as the Annual Computer Security Applications Conference (ACSAC), a workshop, or any other activity, is the property of ACSA.
Individuals who desire to be informed of ACSA activities can "opt-in" to be included in the ACSA lists by going to http://www.acsac.org and providing the web agent with a surface mail address, an electronic address, or both. In like manner, an individual can utilize the web software to be removed from the surface mail list, electronic mail list, or both lists.
We do not place cookies on your computer unless explicitly indicated. We do not collect personal information as you "surf" our web site. We only know about you if you choose to identify yourself when you communicate with us via e-mail or voluntarily register for our mailing list. We protect such information as private information.
If you agree to work on a conference or workshop with us (for example, as a reviewer of submitted papers) or if you submit a paper to an ACSA-sponsored conference or workshop, we will consider that action to be an implicit opt-in and we will add all authors to our lists. You may, however, tell us not to include your name on our lists if you so choose. You may use our web site at any time to remove your name from our lists.
We publish an attendee lists for each conference and the default is to include all registered attendees in the published list and the electronic mailing list. Attendees have the option to limit the publication of their data, but they must so indicate on their registration form.
ACSA permits indirect sharing of our list on an extremely limited basis, and then only with similar information security conferences. Indirect sharing means that we may send out an e-mail message for another conference but will not provide them with our electronic or attendee lists.
